Job purpose

The Business Development Executive is responsible for initiating and developing business opportunities with new and existing customers. This role will develop and manage their individual portfolio and work in a collaborative team environment. This role will also be responsible for prospecting, reaching out to referrals, and business-to-business selling to generate inside and outside transactional sales.

Core responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational marketing/ sales as well as Customer Relationship activities.
  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, and prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
  • Take ownership of the management of the sales functions of the business.
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company’s ambitious growth.
  • Working to stringent targets, to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call.
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified prospects for targeted solicitation, understand their business and solutions requirements, and engage in a consultative sales process (business to business).
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets.
  • Maintain agent relationships in accordance with company policy.
  • Actively responsible for P&L and Strategic planning respectively.

  • Monitor the progress of claims and customer Satisfaction. Leads to fixing all issues and increasing the satisfaction level of the customer.
  • Perform guidelines issued together with GM FLS Logistics & Director FLS Logistics & GM FLS Thailand & Finance.
  • Monitor and develop the profitability and efficiency of processes within the assigned customer portfolio.
  • Cooperation with stake holding Departments and other FLS offices & and countries.
  • Provide high customer service levels, especially for key accounts.
  • Responsible for the development of existing and implementation of new products and traffic lanes.
  • Responsible for costs and revenues of the assigned Customer portfolio.
  • Comply with FLS corporate Structure, Values, and Integrity.
  • Responsible for complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • Possesses knowledge in the logistics industry and at least 3 years experience in Business Development Roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Good Command of English with smooth communication both side and overseas.
  • Demonstrating history of commercial performance concentrated in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, and supply chain services, including cargo management.
  • Have managerial skills in team, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to perform financial calculations, and create and manage budgets.
  • Solid territory management and time management skills. Motivated, goal-oriented, persistent, and a skilled negotiator, with a high level of initiative and tenacity.
  • Ability to conduct effective presentations and interviews with clients to develop potential business opportunities and maintain ongoing relationships.
  • Ethical with sound business judgment, using logic and reasoning to seek alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Service-minded, enthusiastic with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude and a friendly personality
  • Must clearly demonstrate ability and willingness to articulate FLS’s work ethics and values while at work and out of work, as a living testimony of the organization’s commitment to sustainable community transformational development.
