FLS HISTORY
We're extremely proud of how far we've come.
1993 - 2000
The company was founded in Bangkok in May 1993 by Martin Häberli and was soon awarded several projects such as Thai Taffeta, Thainox Steel and Monsanto.
During the following years, FLS gained more experience by handling many projects in Thailand, namely:
· Sosuco Project / Saraburi
· Tunnel Drilling Machines B.C.K.T. JV / Bangkok
· Thai National Power CCPP, Electrowatt Engineering
· US Armed Forces Cobra Cold Military Exercise 2000, Thailand
· Laem Chabang and Amata Power Plants
2001 - 2010
FLS ventured more and more into handling export projects from steel fabricators in Thailand, Korea, China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia to global destinations for major engineering companies in the Power, Petrochemical and Mining industries.
In order to support our customers with even better service and faster communication, we expanded from Bangkok to our first small office in Laem Chabang in 2004.
In June of 2006, we finally moved all operations to our new office in the Talay Thong Tower in Laem Chabang, overlooking the harbour.
This strategic move allowed us to be closer to our customers, the authorities and the move towards the Thailand East coast and its settled manufacturers. That proved to be very successful because it allowed us to be even more “hands-on”.
In 2007, Torbjörn Larisch started leading the FLS team as Managing Director.
2011 - 2020
In 2011 FLS (Vietnam) Ltd. was established, followed by
· FLS (Australia) Pty Ltd. in 2013
· FLS (Singapore) Pte Ltd. in 2014
· PT. Federal Logistik Sistem (Indonesia) in 2014
· FLS Projects (USA) Inc. in 2016
· FLS Projects (Taiwan) Ltd. in 2016
· FLS Projects (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd, in 2018
At the end of 2016, Torbjörn Larisch became our Chief Executive Officer.
2020 - Now
Since 2020, we have ignited a period of explosive growth, aggressively pushing forward our footprint to serve clients across key global markets.
