Job purpose

Business Development Executive role in the South region of India is to drive sales growth and
expand the company’s market presence through proactive prospecting, relationship-building, and
strategic sales initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in identifying and capitalizing on business
opportunities, acquiring new customers, and nurturing existing client relationships to achieve
revenue targets and business objectives.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives in
the South region of India.
• Identify and target potential customers through proactive prospecting, networking, and
cold calling activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand
their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Manage the sales pipeline effectively, from lead generation to closure, ensuring timely
follow-ups and accurate forecasting.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, market trends, and
competitor activities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate
their value proposition to clients.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, ensuring win-win outcomes and close deals to
meet sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights,
and provide regular reports to the management team.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the business
development and sales domain, and apply this knowledge to enhance performance.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a business
development or sales role, preferably in the South region of India.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and
persuade stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
• Strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Self-motivated and result-oriented, with a drive to exceed targets and deliver exceptional
customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, logistics software, and technology tools.
• Willingness to travel within the South Region as needed.
• Based in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Tuticorin.
