Job purpose
Business Development Manager – Warehousing, you will be responsible for identifying and
acquiring new business opportunities in the warehousing sector. You will play a key role in
expanding the company’s warehousing services and ensuring revenue growth. This position
requires strong market knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a strategic approach to
business development.
Core responsibilities
• Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive
offerings.
• Analyze market conditions and customer needs to develop targeted strategies for business
development.
• Identify and approach potential clients in need of warehousing services.
• Create and execute sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Present the company’s warehousing solutions and value proposition to clients.
• Develop and implement a business development strategy that aligns with company goals
and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful service delivery.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts for potential clients.
• Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to secure contracts.
• Set and achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
• Track and report on sales performance regularly.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
• Gather customer feedback to continuously improve services and client satisfaction.
• Address and resolve client concerns and issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure all contracts and agreements are compliant with legal and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and contracts.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in
the warehousing or logistics industry at least 3 years.
• Strong understanding of warehousing operations and logistics processes.
• Able to calculate costs and prepare proposals for clients.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
• Good in English communication both spoken and written.
