Job purpose
A Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and materials to ensure they meet established and quality standards and specifications, ideally specializing in the stationery and/or toy gifts & and premium luggage industry. They play a critical role in maintaining product quality and preventing defects or non-conformities.
Core responsibilities
- Perform inline and final inspections according to buyer and customer Acceptable Quality Limits – AQL standards.
- Ability to work well with suppliers in identifying quality problems during the manufacturing process and capable of assisting in proposing solutions, bearing in mind the needs of the customer and own experience with relevant products.
- Review defect samples with suppliers during the inspection, report to supervisor on the inspection result, and submit inspection reports in English to the QC manager, relevant merchandisers, and other related persons on time.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to prevent defects and enhance product quality.
- Supervise re-working at the factory where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality control procedures, and safety regulations when conducting factory audits.
- A bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control and inspection, preferably in the stationery, toys, luggage, gifts & and premium industry.
- Preferably, this experience should be with a company primarily serving the European market.
- High command of Acceptable Quality Limit – Quality Control (AQL standards) and their application.
- Excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, both written and oral.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with factory staff and colleagues.
- Demonstrated responsibility and company loyalty.
- Frequent travel is required, primarily in Southern and Northern Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and surrounding provinces), with occasional overnight stays at factories.
- Willingness and ability to work on weekends or during public holidays if required.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a high-paced, multi-project workload environment.
